Hosting is more than just a website
Most agency offers stop at a showcase website placed on shared hosting. Yet as soon as a project goes beyond a simple presentation page, it runs other components: a Node back-office, a Python service exposing an API, a PostgreSQL database, a scheduled task fetching data from a vendor, or a shared file storage for team members.
Each of these building blocks has its own constraints. A Node process must be monitored and restarted if it crashes. An ASGI application holding open connections is scaled differently from a PHP site. A database is backed up more frequently than a showcase site, and a backup that has never been restored is not a backup.
We handle this part for you, whether the project was built by us or not. You retain full ownership of the domain, code, and data, and all access credentials are issued in your name.
What we host
Static websites
Nuxt, Astro, or generated HTML, served from a CDN. Nothing to patch server-side, minimal response time, and virtually zero attack surface.
PHP
WordPress, Laravel, Symfony, or custom code. Updated PHP version, extensions, cron jobs, and staging environment.
Node.js
APIs, back-office, or server-side rendering. Monitored and automatically restarted processes, reverse proxy, environment variables, and secrets kept out of the repository.
Python, WSGI, and ASGI
Django or Flask behind Gunicorn, FastAPI behind Uvicorn, background workers, and persistent connections when the application requires them.
PostgreSQL
Dedicated instance for your project, not publicly exposed, encrypted access, daily backups, and genuinely tested restoration.
Docker
Container images and composition, private registry, reproducible deployment across environments. The exact same image in testing and production.
kDrive
Infomaniak storage set up and managed: accounts, groups, sharing permissions, workstation synchronization, and version retention.
Monitoring
Availability, response time, SSL certificates, disk space, and backup status. We get alerted before your users call you.
Domains and email
Domain registration or transfer, DNS zone management, automatically renewed certificates, email addresses on your custom domain name.
Where everything runs
We host with Infomaniak, a Swiss provider whose data centers are ISO 27001 and ISO 14001 certified and powered by renewable energy. Your data remains in Switzerland, safe from extraterritorial legislation - a crucial factor as soon as you process client or patient records.
Static websites and PHP applications run on shared hosting: it offers the best cost-to-reliability ratio for a showcase website or online store. Anything requiring a persistent process - Node, Python, PostgreSQL, or Docker - runs on Public Cloud or a dedicated virtual server managed by us. kDrive is an Infomaniak service we set up and manage for you.
The setup choice is made during the project based on what the application actually does, not a rigid price list. There is no obligation to host with us either: if you already have a host or an in-house infrastructure, we deliver the code and access credentials, leaving you full control.

What managed services cover
Hosting covers the server and the systems running on it. Managed services place a human operator behind the machine.
For a website, this means updating the CMS and plugins, monitoring uptime, verifying backups, and handling small ongoing content updates. For an application, the scope is different: upgrading runtimes and dependencies, applying security patches, rotating secrets, managing disk space and logs, and recovering from incidents.
We respond during business hours, and a production outage takes priority over everything else. We do not offer night or weekend on-call coverage: if your business requires it, we will tell you upfront and refer you to a provider equipped for it.
How a migration works
Assessment
What is currently running, on which version, with what dependencies and backups. We inform you of our findings before committing to anything.
Preparation
The target environment is set up in parallel, data is copied over, and the application is tested on a temporary URL.
Switchover
DNS update prepared in advance, with a maintenance window chosen with you. The old environment remains available for as long as needed.
Follow-up
Active monitoring, first backup verified through a real restore, and full access documentation handed over to you.
Taking over hosting we didn't build
This is a frequent request and we welcome it, regardless of the starting platform: WordPress, Joomla, a custom application built by another agency, an already containerized app, or an internal server set up by a former employee.
We begin with an audit, because an environment left two years without updates often requires a cleanup before ongoing maintenance makes sense. Sometimes we uncover unpleasant surprises: end-of-life PHP or Python versions, abandoned dependencies, databases exposed to the public Internet, or missing backups that no one has ever tried to restore. You receive a complete overview and its implications, then you decide how to proceed.
We handle the migration directly, with a switchover prepared in advance to keep your service accessible throughout the process.
